Welcome to AuthorSend. This guide gives you the lay of the land and points you at the three things worth doing first. If you'd rather dive straight in, each step links to a full walkthrough.
Find your way around
Your dashboard is organized around what you're trying to get done:
- Campaigns — the newsletters and one-off emails you send, plus your Email Templates and a sending Calendar.
- Journeys — automated sequences that send on their own (a welcome series, a launch runway).
- Subscribers — everyone on your list, sliced into Lists, Segments, and Tags. The Blocked list here is anyone you can no longer email.
- Forms and Web (Landing Pages and Websites) — the surfaces you use to collect new readers.
- Analytics — how your sends performed, plus custom reports and audience-growth charts.
- Media — the images you reuse across emails, pages, and forms.
Account and workspace settings live under your avatar in the top-right, not in the sidebar.
Do these three things first
1. Set up how your email is sent
Before anything goes out, decide who it comes from. AuthorSend can send from a shared AuthorSend address immediately, or from your own authenticated domain for the best deliverability. See Set up your sending identity.
2. Bring your readers over
Import a CSV, or let us move your whole list, tags, and sequences from another platform for free. See Import your contacts — or, if you're leaving another tool, Switching to AuthorSend.
3. Send your first email
Build a newsletter in the drag-and-drop editor and send it to your list. See Send your first campaign.
Who AuthorSend is for
AuthorSend is built for any writer with an audience — novelists and nonfiction authors, but also coaches, speakers, newsletter writers, and marketers. Every plan includes the full feature set (automations, segmentation, landing pages, and the AI assistant); higher tiers add scale and deliverability, not features.
