Copyright Policy
Last updated: October 11, 2026
AuthorSend is built for people who make their living from what they write, so we take copyright seriously in both directions. If something hosted or sent through AuthorSend uses your work without permission, tell us and we will act on it.
Send a Notice
The quickest way is the report form, which asks for everything a notice needs. You can also write to our designated agent:
Adazing LLC, Attn: Copyright Agent
legal@authorsend.com
A notice must include:
- The work you own, described well enough that we can tell what it is.
- The link to the page or file that uses it.
- Your name, postal address, phone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or are authorized to act for the owner.
- Your signature. A typed full name counts.
What We Do
When a notice is complete, we remove the material or take it offline promptly. We tell the account that published it and pass along your notice, including your name and contact details, so they can respond.
If Your Content Was Removed
If you believe material was removed by mistake or because it was misidentified, you can send a counter-notice to the agent above. It must include:
- The material that was removed and where it appeared before.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, postal address, and phone number.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any district where we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the notice.
- Your signature. A typed full name counts.
We send your counter-notice to the person who complained. Unless they tell us they have filed a court action, we restore the material 10 to 14 business days later.
Repeat Infringers
We end the accounts of people who infringe repeatedly. Each complete notice against an account is recorded for that purpose.
A Notice Is a Legal Statement
Anyone who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, can be liable for the damage that causes. If you are unsure whether a use is infringement, speak to a lawyer before sending a notice.
