We collect information you provide directly when you create an account, subscribe to a newsletter, or contact us. This includes your name, email address, and any other information you choose to provide. We also automatically collect certain technical data when you visit our website, such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited.

Data Usage

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our services. This includes sending you newsletters you have subscribed to, processing your account requests, and analyzing usage patterns to enhance the AuthorSend platform. We may also use your information to communicate with you about updates, security alerts, and support messages.

Connected social accounts

AuthorSend can publish to social platforms on your behalf, including Bluesky, Mastodon, LinkedIn, Discord and Telegram. When you connect an account, we store the access credential that platform issues us, the account’s public identifier, handle, display name and avatar, and the identifiers and links of the posts we publish for you.

We use this only to publish the content you have written and scheduled, and to show you whether it published. We do not read your timeline, we do not post anything you have not composed and scheduled yourself, and we do not sell this data, use it for advertising, or use it to train machine-learning models.

Credentials are encrypted at rest, are never displayed back to you, and are never sent anywhere except to the platform that issued them. Disconnecting a destination deletes its stored credential immediately, and deleting your account deletes every connected destination along with it. You can revoke our access at any time from the platform’s own settings, which stops us publishing there regardless of what is stored here.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your data with trusted service providers who assist us in operating our platform, such as hosting providers and email delivery services. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify.
