Yes. Moving your list is included with every plan, whether you do it yourself or have us do it. No setup fees, no per-subscriber charges.
Either. Most authors do it themselves in a few minutes: export from your old platform, add the files in AuthorSend, check the numbers, press the button. If you would rather not, press "Have us do it" on that same screen — your files come to us, we run the import, and we email you when your readers are in. That is free on every plan. Growth adds a review of your import and warm-up plan before you cut over, and Pro includes concierge migration: we rebuild your segments, automations, and forms as well.
Moving your list takes minutes: a few thousand readers import in seconds, and larger lists run in the background while you do something else. Very large lists (above about 25,000 rows) are brought in by us, from the same screen. When we run it for you, it is usually done within one business day. Rebuilding automations and forms takes longer — plan an afternoon.
No. Readers who were subscribed on your old platform arrive subscribed here. Nobody gets a re-confirmation email, and importing sends nothing to anyone.
Include them in your export. Unsubscribed, bounced, and spam-complaint addresses come across blocked, so nobody who opted out can be emailed again — even if you later import an old list they were on.
Tags and lists come across with their readers. Every other column in your export is kept as a custom field under its own name. Segments are saved rules rather than data, so they are rebuilt here — describe one in plain English and the AI assistant drafts it.
