Set up your sending identity

Choose the name and address your email comes from — start on a shared AuthorSend address, or authenticate your own domain for the best inbox placement.

Every email needs a from name and a from address — who it looks like it came from. AuthorSend gives you a working sender the moment you sign up, and lets you upgrade to your own domain whenever you're ready.

Start sending right away

New accounts can send from a shared AuthorSend address on send.authorsend.com. It's authenticated and warmed for you, so your first emails land reliably without any DNS setup. This is the fastest way to get your first campaign out the door.

Send from your own domain

When you want email to come from you@yourdomain.com, authenticate your domain. This is the single biggest thing you can do for deliverability and trust — readers recognize your address, and mailbox providers see a domain that vouches for its own mail.

Head to Settings and add your sending domain, then add the DNS records we generate for you. The full walkthrough is in Authenticate your sending domain.

Set your defaults once

You can set a default from name, from address, and reply-to in Settings so every new campaign starts pre-filled. You can still override them on any individual send.
