Changing email platforms sounds painful, but moving your list takes minutes. It is free on every plan, no matter your list size, with no setup fees and no per-subscriber charges.
Move your list
- Go to Subscribers and choose Import.
- Say where your readers are now. AuthorSend shows the exact clicks to export them from that platform.
- Export everyone, unsubscribed and bounced readers too. Mailchimp sends a ZIP with a file for each; unzip it.
- Add every file. Before anything is imported you see what is in them: how many readers, how many unsubscribed or bounced, which tags and lists.
- Press the Bring in button. It runs in the background. You can close the window, and we email you when it is done.

What comes across
- Readers, with their name, signup date, and every other column in your export kept as a custom field.
- Tags and lists (or groups), with the readers who were in them.
- Unsubscribes, bounces, and spam complaints, as blocked addresses — so nobody who opted out can be emailed again, even if you later import an old list they were on.
Readers who never confirmed their subscription on your old platform are left out: they never agreed to be on your list.

Common questions
Will my readers have to re-confirm? No. Readers who were subscribed on your old platform arrive subscribed here, and nobody gets a re-confirmation email.
Does anything change in my old account? No. You export a copy. Keep sending from your old tool until you're ready to switch.
What if a reader already exists in my AuthorSend account? They are never added twice. You choose before the import runs: fill in what is missing, leave them as they are, or replace their details with the file.
What if my list is larger than my plan? The import tells you before it starts, and shows the plan that holds everyone. Nothing is imported until it fits.
What if my list is very large? Above about 25,000 rows, the Import screen sends your files to us instead of importing them itself, and we bring them in — usually within one business day.
What if something looks wrong afterward? Open Import again, view your last import, and choose Undo this import. It removes exactly what the import added and leaves the readers you already had.
